Yep, I was a regular and the librarian could call me with my name by the end of the summer... :P It's a pity I can't go to the library these days... I love his book " By the river...." too! It has a great plot but the greatest thing imo is Coelho's ability to merge different things, different issues in one book. For example that specific book was about a love story, but if you searched deeper you could understand that it was more a philosophical and existential quest.
One Coelho's book I didn't like so much was "Veronica decides to die". What's your opinion about it, if you've read it?

Haha, no, as far as I know.... I was talking about "The winner stands alone". I'm glad you liked it :) In summer I used to go to the local libraby almost every week and every day I went there I asked the librarian if "The witch of Portobello" is available and every time she looked at me and said that she had borrowed it to someone else! Is it gonna sound to clichi if I say that I've been meaning to read this book too for a very long time ? :P It's true...
Which was the first Coelho's book you've read? I read "The alchemist" some years ago and I liked it so much that I started reading more of his books. Have you read " The Valkyries"? I was excited when I found out that one of his books is Xena-related :p Well, not exactly Xena-related , but it's name reminds me of Xena... lol . I haven't read it yet.

No, I haven't made it to read "The girl with the dragon tattoo" yet.. :( A movie with this name based on the book has been released lately but I'm trying hard not to indulge and go to see it, because I want to read the book first :P . Other obligations are keeping me busy these days and I can't seem to find some time to begin it .
Oh "The winner stands alone" .. this book! I've been meaning to read it for a long time but as you can imagine I haven't. These two books are on the top of my to-read list, however... Did you like Choelho's last book?
